Jennifer and Ryan’s Wedding

December 30th, 2009

opener

Happy (almost) New Year everyone!

They say that home is where the heart is so weddings that take place on family estates have always made a lot of sense to me.   They may very well be our favorite events to shoot because they are always unique.  Sam was happy to return to Ryan’s childhood home in Hadensville, Virginia last September where Ryan’s sister Kristen and brother-in-law Jeff had their wedding reception just a few years back.  Many thanks to the talented  Tasha Tolliver who joined Sam to shoot this wedding and did an amazing job, we were so glad to have her on board because it meant I didn’t have to worry about a thing back at home with baby!

Jenny and Ryan’s wedding had a cozy and inviting down-home feel to it.  Occasions Events did a great job managing the fine details and making sure the day went off without a hitch.  The ceremony took place in front of a rustic shed with a cheery blue door.  We were glad to see the famous pink flamingos make a return as well, check it out…

While the stars of the show were Jenny and Ryan, they were happy to share the spotlight with their son Aiden, who was looking especially handsome in his tuxedo.  Jenny and I were pregnant together and Aiden took us all by surprise by joining our world early, I was excited to see how much he had grown in time to celebrate their wedding with the family.

Jennifer and Kyle’s Engagement Session

December 17th, 2009

willow

Jenn and Kyle took Sam to the place where it all began, the University of Richmond, to take a few engagement photos before heading into the fan with their pup Ellie for a few more.   Ellie got dressed up in her University of Richmond collar for the shoot:

The couple was sure to hit Edo’s Squid while out and about, one of their favorite date spots, resulting in one of my favs from the session:

The couple used this shot to design a save the date magnet with their wedding monogram:

Baby Brayden Crawling at 9 months

December 8th, 2009

opener

Finally, we are back!  More accurately, the blog is back… and we’re excited to share our fall season.  Thanks so much for your patience as we learned how to juggle a kid with our cameras!  Of course I will sneak some photos of Fiver in here and there but I want to spend some time focusing on our super awesome clientele.

And speaking of cute kids, check out Baby Brayden back when he was 9 months old.  Brayden was jetting all over the place, showing off his crawling, pulling up and cruising skills for the camera.  Check him out!

I can’t wait for our next shoot to see Brayden the Biped, rumor has it that he has Amy and Jeff running after him 24-7.  Until then, here’s a slideshow of the session and a few more favs!  If you would like to see Brayden’s online gallery, click here.  Stay tuned for more super boy cuteness!
