Amy & Jack’s Wedding on Saturday, October 25, 2008

I watched the road through the metronome of windshield wipers and reviewed a rain plan while driving through Charlottesville toward Crozet, Virginia.  Umbrellas?  Check.  Running with umbrellas through the grapevines of the vineyard?  Cool.  I was actually getting excited for a rainy day in the mountains.

About a mile out from King Family Vineyard, where Amy and Jack’s wedding was about to take place, the clouds parted around the mountains to reveal a patch of blue sky.  No way.  As we pulled into the drive way we watched as rain clouds lifted from the mountain tops and we felt the sun on our backs.  As it turned out, we couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque setting on a more beautiful day.  Add to that a great couple with a great sense of style and what more could we possibly ask for?  I shoved the umbrellas in the trunk.

Everything was amazing, the pictures speak for themselves.  I especially loved Amy’s vintage inspired dress with red shoes, the flower girl’s orange tutus with preppy brown sweaters, and the oversized cupcakes in lieu of wedding cake: a big hit with guests big and small:

Its also worth mentioning that Jack is the coolest groom ever in my book because he was willing to hold a dung fork for our “American Gothic” shot.  I think it even had dung on it, bless his heart.

Here’s a slideshow with our favorites from the day and if you were a guest and would like to be notified by email when all the photos are available for online viewing, click here.  Congrats, Amy & Jack: we hope you are having fun in Belize and we really enjoyed shooting for y’all… it was unBelizeable.
