Happy Snow Day! Hopefully you are out there taking advantage both the great outdoors and the great indoors, building snow men and pillow forts…
Every time I show up with my camera, Anna and Lauren shock me with their big-girl-ness. Is babyhood lost so quickly? It was one of those spring-like days we had in late November, so hard to imagine in the snowy cold of December and I found myself shivering while editing pics of Anna and Lauren with out jackets. First we had some fun with bicycles in the yard.
This shot reminded me of my little sister, always trying to do what I was doing and how I hated it back then and how I can only see her admiration only now. Now I want to do what she is doing!
We wanted to do something a little Christmas-y so I suggested pulling out the ornaments and decorating one of the many fir trees in the backyard. The girls, however, had other plans. In the true spirit of Christmas, they found a tree in the front yard in need of the most Christmas cheer and went to work on a sad, squat, Charlie Brown looking tree. Chrystal and I just looked at each other… who were we to say no? How sweet is this?
When Dad came home it was time to bounce on the bed together for some family pics, one great way to tucker out a whole crew of kids and adults alike. Funny how bed jumping always ends in a snooze, it was soon time for me to leave.
